HEBER CITY, Utah, Oct. 24, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — One person is dead following a head-on collision between a car and a semi-truck in Heber on Monday morning.

The driver of the car, Joseph Forbush, 20, from Heber, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Utah Highway Patrol said in a news release that a 1995 Subaru Legacy was traveling westbound on State Route 189 at mile marker 28 at 11:40 a.m. For an unknown reason, the Subaru crossed over into the eastbound lane and hit a semi head-on.

The crash is still under investigation; the roadway was wet and it was raining at the time of the crash. No impairment is suspected, and it is unknown if Forbush was wearing a seatbelt.

The semi driver was not injured.

SR-189 was closed until approximately 3 p.m.
