OGDEN, Utah, March 6, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — A Plain City man has been charged with seven counts of sexually exploiting minors and three counts of enticing minors.

Eric Robert Brown, 27, was arrested last week on the seven second-degree felony and three third-degree felony charges, which Weber County officials say involved teenage girls in three states.

According to a probable cause statement, Brown used social media to entice girls, ages 13 to 15, to send him sexually explicit photos. He solicited two of the girls for sex, the statement says.

The girls were residents of Michigan, Virginia and Alabama, according to court documents.

Police in Michigan were able to link images stored in the phone of a 13-year-old girl to photos in Brown’s possession. The images were taken in February 2016, the documents state.

Facebook messages documented Brown soliciting sexual intercourse with two girls, ages 13 and 15, according to charging documents.

The Weber County Sheriff’s Office served a search warrant on Brown’s home on Feb. 28, and booked him into jail the same day.

Brown is being held in lieu of $94,500 cash-only bail.
