SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, March 26, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Crews battled a two-alarm fire at a Salt Lake City plastics molding, design and development company early Monday morning.

The fire broke out at C & M Manufacturing, Inc., located at 657 S. 4150 West, at approximately 3:30 a.m., according to a news release from the Salt Lake City Fire Department.

About 32 firefighters attended to the blaze, the news release said, and worked to extinguish the fire through the night and into the morning.

About 8,000 square feet of the 17,500 square foot production/fabrication building suffered extensive damage, including a wall collapse.

Salt Lake City Fire investigators and incident experts have been on scene through Monday, as they continue to investigate the cause of the fire and exact extent of damages. Preliminary estimates seem to indicate a significant financial loss, the news release said.

There were no injuries as a result of the fire, officials said.
