Police ask public to help I.D. men who robbed Sandy 7-Eleven at gunpoint

SANDY, Utah, April 14, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying two suspects who robbed a 7-Eleven at gunpoint Friday afternoon.

According to a news release from Sandy Police Sgt. Jason Nielsen, two men robbed the store, at 9015 S. 700 East, at about 2:15 p.m.

The suspects entered the business wearing sunglasses and hoodies, with the hoods pulled up. They were in the store for a short while before they approached the clerk at the counter. One of the suspects had a semi-automatic pistol, pointed it at the clerk and demanded money, the release states.

The suspects received an undisclosed amount of money and fled on foot.

The men are described as Caucasian, in their late teens or early 20s, and slender. One was wearing a light gray zip-up hoodie, light blue horn-rimmed sunglasses and a bandanna. The other suspect was wearing a black or dark gray pull-over hooded shirt, orange or yellow horn-rimmed sunglasses and a bandanna.
