Police Detail Murder Of 12-Year-Old West Valley City Girl
WEST VALLEY CITY – July 17, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) — Police in West Valley City have given a chilling account of the disappearance and murder of a 12-year-old West Valley City girl.
Kailey Vijil, was last seen by her parents midnight Thursday. They reported her missing to police around 1:30 a.m. and shortly after 3:00 a.m. the child’s body was found in a field less than a half mile from her home.
In a Friday press conference, West Valley City Police Chief Lee Russo said a 15-year-old neighbor boy had been taken into custody and is now in the Salt Lake County Juvenile Detention Facility where he’s facing homicide charges.
