Police In West Valley Looking For Suspect In Bank Robbery

WEST VALLEY CITY, UTAH – October 27, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) – Police in West Valley City are looking for a suspect who robbed a bank inside Smith’s last Friday.

According to West Valley Police Spokesperson Roxeanne Vainuku, a man walked into the Smith’s store located at 4100 South 5600 West just after 6 p.m. on Friday October 23, and handed the teller at the U.S. Bank a note demanding cash.

“After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the man ran out of the store,” said Vainuku. “We believe he may have got into a vehicle waiting for him outside.”

The suspect is described as a white male, about 6’2″ with a medium build and he may have tattoos on his neck. He was wearing a black shirt with the words “Keep Calm and Grow a Mustache” across the front. He was also wearing black gloves, and a black beanie.

Police are asking anyone who may have information on the robbery or the suspect to call West Valley City Police at 801-840-4000.
