SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Dec. 16, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — The Christmas spirit has apparently bypassed one Utah man after he allegedly punched and headbutted loss prevention officers after stealing cologne from Macy’s downtown.

Police booked Edmund White, 32, into jail for robbery, according to a news release from the Salt Lake City Police Department.

The incident occurred just after 9 p.m. Thursday at the department store at 51 S. Main St.

White went into the store, selected a cologne, and left the building without paying, the news release said. When loss prevention officers attempted to stop White outside, he started punching and headbutting them. The suspect was restrained and held for police.
