Police seek public’s help finding missing Salt Lake City man

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, July 13, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Unified Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a 79-year-old man who has been missing since early Friday morning.

Leon Hy Saunders, who goes by the name of Hy, was last seen leaving his house at 5:49 a.m. in the area of 2700 East and 4600 South.

He was recently diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease but is fairly high functioning, a Unified Police Department Facebook post says.

He has health issues related to his age.

Hy Saunders is 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing a blue parka vest, blue sweater and black sweat pants. His shoes are sneakers.

Anyone who has seen this man or who knows where he might be is asked to call UPD at 801-743-7000.
