Police seek suspect who stole car after finding keys dropped in Sandy

SANDY, Utah, April 18, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Police are searching for a suspect who allegedly stole a car after someone dropped their keys at a Sandy 7-Eleven.

Sandy City Police Department said in a news release on Facebook that the incident occurred at the convenience store at 10600 S. 700 East on April 7, at 4:35 p.m.

The car was then abandoned in the area of 6600 S. 700 East.

The suspect has a slim build and in surveillance photos is wearing thick-rimmed black glasses, a baseball cap with a logo on the front and a camouflage print T-shirt.

Anyone who recognizes the suspect or has any information about the incident is asked to contact the Sandy PD, quoting case 18-15721.
