BRIGHAM CITY, Utah, March 8, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — A propane tanker rolled at the bottom of an I-15 off ramp in Brigham City Tuesday afternoon.

Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Todd Royce said the accident happened just after 2 p.m. near mile marker 365 off ramp involving a Turner propane double tanker.

Currently SR-13 in both directions is closed and I -15 northbound is closed.

Royce said propane was leaking from the lead tanker that had tipped over but the pup trailer did not tip and was not damaged.

Troopers with UHP along with the Box Elder Emergency Manager and the Brigham City Fire authorities are currently coordinating a plan to off load the tanker.

SR-13 will be closed for several hours.

Several businesses including Vulcraft, Brigham Implement and all airport businesses have been evacuated.

Officials are asking others to avoid the area as traffic is being diverted off the freeway.
