RIVERTON, Utah, June 4, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — A 2-year-old Riverton girl is in critical condition after being found unconscious in a neighbor’s backyard swimming pool Sunday.
Unified Police Detective Ken Hansen said first responders were dispatched to a home near 12700 South and Timpview Drive about 1:20 p.m.
When police arrived they found the child’s 20-year-old sister performing CPR.
Officers took over resuscitation efforts until medical personnel arrived.
The 2-year-old was taken by ground ambulance to a nearby hospital before being flown by helicopter to Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City.
