GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colorado, Feb. 16, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — A massive rock slide along I-70 in Colorado is causing huge delays for travelers.

According to the Colorado Department of Transportation, the rock slide occurred at approximately 2:30 a.m. Monday in the area just west of Hanging Lake Tunnel in Glenwood Canyon. A second slide also occurred in the same location just after 9 p.m.

The location is about two hours drive time from the Utah border.

Late Monday night, CDOT closed I-70 through the canyon for safety since the rock slide has caused damage to the roadway, retaining wall and guardrail.
