Salt Lake City has Fancy New Parking App

SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH – April 21, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) – Parking in Salt Lake just got easier. A new app, ParkSLC.com, is the new and improved way to pay for parking, allowing users to pay with a mobile app or online.

There are over 30,000 spots in and around the downtown core. Paid parking hours are from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., for a maximum of two hours, Monday through Friday. Saturdays are free, with a two hour maximum, and there are no restrictions Sunday.

ParkSLC.com allows users to:

• Pay for parking using your phone without having to go to a meter.
• Receive mobile alerts 10 minutes prior to your time expiring.
• Extend your parking time remotely, up to the maximum time allowed per posted signage.

If you fund a ParkSLC Prefunded Account, you have the option to fund, using a credit/debit card, a minimum $10 or a maximum of $100. Each time you use the ParkSLC Prefunded Account to pay for parking, the cost of your parking session is deducted from your prepaid account. When your account balance reaches zero, your account will be automatically replenished, using your selected method of payment.

ParkSLC is offered at all spaces managed by Salt Lake City. Just look for the ParkSLC logo on the decals affixed each pay station and space number pole. You can also still use the pay stations at meters if you choose.
