Salt Lake City man injured in crash in Idaho

DECLO, Idaho/SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, July 8, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — A Salt Lake City man was injured when his motorcycle collided with a pickup truck in Idaho.

Idaho State Police said in a news release that Greg Hansen, 55, of Salt Lake City, was riding his 1994 Harley-Davidson motorcycle west on Interstate 84 at approximately 6 p.m. Saturday.

Hansen took Exit 216, failed to yield at a stop sign and entered the intersection of Idaho State Route 25, north of Declo, according to the news release.

Joe Anderson, 59, of Jackson, Idaho, was driving south on SR-25 in a 1991 Ford F25 pickup and collided with the Harley-Davidson.

Hansen was thrown from the bike. Both vehicles came to rest down an embankment off of SR-25.

Hansen was wearing a helmet, but sustained unspecified injuries and was transported by air ambulance to Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello. He was later taken by air ambulance to University of Utah Hospital in Salt Lake City.
