Salt Lake Police looking for suspect reported to have stabbed neighbor

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Nov. 15, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — Salt Lake City Police officials are searching for a woman who witnesses say stabbed her neighbor then fled in a white SUV in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Salt Lake City Police Department tweeted the suspect they are searching for is Dyann Hernandez, 23.

The aggravated assault allegedly occurred in the area of 800 W. Arapahoe Ave. (650 South) just after 12:20 a.m., according to a news release from the SLCPD.

“Officers responded on an assault and found a man in front of his house with multiple stab wounds to his neck,” the news release said. “When officers arrived, neighbors were administering first aid. Witnesses observed a female adult neighbor stab the victim and then leave the area in a white SUV.”

The victim was transported to a local hospital in serious but stable condition.

Officials did not disclose what led up to the altercation.
