Update: Missing, endangered 15-year-old boy from Sandy found safe

SANDY, Utah, Nov. 11, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — A teenager from Sandy who had not been seen since Friday morning has been found safe, Sandy City Police announced Saturday night.

Andrew Cook, 15, has autism and was considered endangered. He had been missing from his home in the Pepperwood neighborhood since about 10 a.m. Friday.

Andrew was located at a home in Draper and was safe and unharmed.

The news release from the Sandy Police Department stated, “There is nothing nefarious suspected regarding Andrew or where he was located. The occupants in the residence were unaware Andrew was a missing juvenile.”

Sandy Police expressed thanks to all the volunteers who helped search for the teen Friday night and Saturday.
