DAVIS COUNTY, Utah, June 13, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Two devices that officials say were “essentially a homemade bomb” were found in a residential neighborhood in Davis County on Wednesday morning.

The items looked like tennis balls, but were filled with an explosive substance, according to information from the Clinton Police Department.

“The area was canvassed and no other devices were found,” said a tweet from the Clinton Fire Department.

“If you see something that looks like this, please do not handle them up! Call 911.”

The Clinton Fire Department tweeted at 11 a.m. the device was found in the area of 1360 N. 2660 West.

Just after noon, a follow up tweet said the incident had been safely resolved by the Davis County Bomb squad.

A shelter in place for the area has also been lifted.
