BOX ELDER COUNTY, Utah, Nov. 29, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — A school bus flipped on its side after a collision with a minivan in Box Elder County Tuesday morning.

The six occupants of the bus; the driver, an aide and four elementary age special needs children were wearing seatbelts and none of them were injured, according to a news release from Box Elder County Sheriff’s Office.

The woman driving the minivan was transported by ground ambulance to Bear River Valley Hospital in Tremonton. Her condition is not yet known.

The news release said the incident happened just after 7:40 a.m. when the minivan, traveling west on 11600 North, failed to yield to the bus going north on 4800 West.

Officials said the district notified parents of the children on board, brought another bus to the scene and reunited the students with their parents.

Box Elder Sheriff’s Office was joined by Tremonton Police, Fire and Ambulance, Utah Highway Patrol and Box Elder School District to manage the incident.
