MORGAN, Utah, Sept. 19, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — A semi-truck overturned near Morgan Monday morning, spilling tires both on and off the roadway, officials said.

The semi, pulling an enclosed box trailer loaded with semi tires, was westbound on Interstate 84 near milepost 91, according to a news release from the Utah Highway Patrol.

“The roadway curved to the left and turned into a bridge,” the news release said “The semi entered the curve at a higher rate of speed. The driver was unable to maintain his lane and crashed into the concrete barricade to the right.”

The semi tipped over, knocked down four large concrete barricades, and came to a stop partially overhanging the bridge and into lane two.

The box trailer broke apart and tires were spilled out on and off the roadway.

The driver was not injured and no other vehicles were hit or damaged.
