TOOELE COUNTY, Utah, Feb. 25, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — A man suffered fatal injuries after he reportedly experienced a medical issue while driving on Interstate 80 in Tooele County Saturday afternoon.
The man was driving a semi-truck west on I-80 near mile marker 72, one mile east of Skull Valley, at approximately 5:30 p.m., according to a tweet from the Utah Department of Transportation.
Utah Highway Patrol officials said the man suffered a medical problem, the details of which are not known at this time, and veered into the eastbound lanes then off the side of the freeway.
The man was declared dead at the scene.
His identity has not been released pending notification of family members.
There were no other vehicles involved in the crash.
