FBI Violent Crimes Task Force detectives were searching for Edmunds Tuesday evening when they received information he was in the area of 1800 S. 700 East driving a green Saturn.

Officers spotted the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop just after 10:20 p.m.

Edmunds was taken into custody without incident and booked into jail for five counts of first-degree felony aggravated robbery.

A statement of probable cause from the Salt Lake County Sheriff’s Office said that after being read his Miranda rights, Edmunds stated he robbed 12 businesses; five in Salt Lake City and of those five, two were banks.
