SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, May 17, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — Unified Police Department officials have arrested a man suspected in nearly a dozen armed robberies throughout the Salt Lake Valley during the last two months.

Victor Ray Hall, 44, was located after detectives with the Salt Lake City Police Department auto theft division spotted the Ford Taurus in the parking lot of the Skyline Inn, 2475 E. 1700 South, at about 5 p.m. Tuesday.

After a video surveillance was set up with UPD Violent Crimes detectives, Hall was spotted walking away from the motel. He was taken into custody without incident.

UPD said in a news release Monday that Hall also is suspected of stealing multiple cars.

Detectives said Hall admitted to 11 armed robberies in Salt Lake County and one armed robbery in Lehi last week. He was also in possession of a realistic looking BB gun pistol.

Hall was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail on multiple armed robbery charges, active arrest warrants and a federal hold for probation violation.
