Police seek suspects after victim knocked unconscious with pipe, robbed in Salt Lake City

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, March 27, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — Police are searching for four suspects after a man was knocked unconscious with a metal pipe and robbed in downtown Salt Lake City Sunday evening.

The incident happened in the area of 47 E. Exchange Place (360 South), which is between Main Street and State Street, at approximately 9:50 p.m., according to a news release from the Salt Lake City Police Department.

“A man was walking in the area when four black male adults attacked him and knocked the victim unconscious,” the news release said. “The suspects took cash from the victim’s wallet and fled the area.”

The victim was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.

The suspects were all wearing black hats with yellow button up shirts and black undershirts, police said. The investigation is ongoing.
