‘Small child alert’ issued after 7-foot boa reported loose in Juab County

NEPHI, Utah, June 13, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — The Juab County Sheriff’s Office has issued a small child alert after a large boa constrictor was reported loose in Nephi.

The large snake was last seen in the area of 800 North and 100 East.

“The snake is a 7-and-a-half foot long red tail boa constrictor,” a notice from the Juab County Sheriff’s Office says.

“Please be cautious with small children and animals. If you see this snake, please contact police dispatch at 435-623-1344, option 1. Thank you.”

Calling 9-1-1 is another option.
