South Salt Lake Police ask for help identifying credit union robbery suspect

SOUTH SALT LAKE, Utah, Feb. 9, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — The South Salt Lake Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying a man who robbed the Trans West Credit Union on Thursday.

According to a news release from SSLPD, at approximately 5:29 p.m. the man entered the credit union, at 39 W. 2100 South, and passed a note to the teller demanding cash.

The credit union employee complied with the demand, and the suspect left the credit union on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect was last seen running southbound on Richards Street (55 West). Police say he never displayed or brandished a weapon during the robbery, and none of the credit union employees were harmed during the robbery.

The robbery suspect was described as a Caucasian male, 5 feet 11 inches tall, with a slender build, deep set eyes, a chiseled face and long nose. He was last seen wearing a camouflage baseball cap, dark gray hoodie, black jacket and blue jeans.

Anyone who has seen a person matching the suspect in the photo is asked to call South Salt Lake Police Dispatch at 801-840-4000.
