South Salt Lake Police investigating after burglary at smoke shop

SOUTH SALT LAKE, Utah, July 31, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — South Salt Lake police are investigating a burglary at a smoke shop in the early hours of Monday morning.

South Salt Lake Police Department spokesman Sgt. Gary Keller told Gephardt Daily the incident occurred at approximately 3:30 a.m. when a suspect or suspects broke into The Village Shop, at 363 E. 3300 South.

Keller said the front glass door to the smoke shop was broken, and money stolen from the till.

He said investigators are checking surveillance cameras, and images of the suspect or suspects, along with their descriptions, will be made available soon.
