ST. GEORGE, Utah, June 22, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — The St. George Police Department responded to the scene of a suspicious death on Friday afternoon.
Officers were called to the area of the 2000 block of 1575 North.
“Officers were contacted by citizens who received information that an altercation had occurred at the location during the night,” a SGPD post on Facebook says.
“Citizens reported that they believe a subject may have been killed at the location. The persons also provided officers with the name and location of the suspect.”
Detectives have detained and are interviewing a person of interest in the case, the post says.
“We do not believe that any other persons are involved at this time and there is no danger to the public.”
