SUGAR HOUSE, Utah, April 19, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — A car crashed into the Sundance Catalog Outlet in Sugar House on Thursday morning, hitting a customer, officials said.

Neither that customer nor the driver were injured, Salt Lake City Police Department spokesman Sgt. Brandon Shearer told Gephardt Daily, and it appears the incident was simply a mistake on the driver’s part.

The incident occurred at the store at 2201 S. Highland Drive at approximately 11 a.m., Shearer said, when the driver was attempting to park. The driver’s foot slipped off the brake and hit the accelerator, causing the vehicle to hit another car and then careen through one of the front windows and continue approximately 30-40 feet inside the store before coming to a stop.

Shearer said no citations were issued to the driver as it appears the incident was simply an accident.
