TAYLORSVILLE, Utah, Feb. 27, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — The Unified Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect after an armed robbery in Taylorsville early Monday morning.

The suspect entered the 7-Eleven at 3180 W. 5400 South at approximately 1:10 a.m., according to a news release from the UPD.

The suspect produced a black semi-automatic handgun and demanded money and cigarettes from the clerk, the news release said.

The employee complied and the suspect fled from the business on foot. It’s not known in which direction he fled.

The suspect is described as black, between 25 and 30 years old, 6 feet tall and 180 pounds. He was wearing an Oakland Raiders beanie, a white zip-up hoodie with the wording “TWO 3” embroidered on the hood, tan cargo-style pants and black shoes. The suspect has a tattoo on his top right hand/wrist area.
