Taylorsville man injured in motorcycle crash

MURRAY, Utah, Oct. 23, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — A man was injured when he lost control of his motorcycle while taking the ramp from Interstate Highway 215 eastbound onto Interstate Highway 15 southbound in Murray.

The Utah Highway Patrol stated in a news release that the accident occurred at about 2:10 p.m. Sunday. According to the release, it appears the motorcyclist, Robyn Anderson, 60, of Taylorsville, attempted to pass between two vehicles traveling side by side in two lanes and struck the vehicle in the left lane.

Anderson lost control of the motorcycle and hit the concrete wall on the right side, then was thrown over the concrete barrier, landing in the dirt between the barrier and the sound wall, the release states.

He suffered a broken ankle and leg and was transported to Intermountain Medical Center in poor condition.
