MAGNA, UTAH – December 1, 2015 – (Gephardt Daily) — Police investigators are trying to sort out the chain of events that landed a 19-year-old Magna man in the hospital with a bullet wound to the leg early Tuesday morning.

According to Unified Police Lt. Dan McConkey, the teenager was shot around 1:30 a.m. while giving a ride to two men he claims to have met at a west-side 7-11.

Moments later, the wounded teen showed up at a Domino’s Pizza shop at 4650 West 5400 South where he knocked on a back door and pleaded for help.

Workers called police, but by the time officers arrived, the 19-year-old had been taken by good Samaritans to his family’s home at 2685 Melville Drive in Magna. It was there that Unified police and fire EMTs first treated the teenager, who was taken by ambulance in fair condition to Jordan Valley West Hospital.

Police say the two unknown shooting suspects remain at large.

We’ll have more on the investigation as information becomes available.
