COTTONWOOD HEIGHTS, UTAH – Dec. 4, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) – A home in Cottonwood Heights is a total loss after a two-alarm fire swept through Friday afternoon.

Unified, Sandy, Murray and West Jordan fire crews responded to the home located near 1900 E. Creek Road in Sandy Friday at around 2 p.m.

Unified Fire Captain Dan Brown said the building has four residents; two in the bottom apartment and two in the upstairs. None of the residents was home at the time of the fire and no one was injured. Brown said it is too early to determine the cause of the fire and the estimated loss.

A car was also damaged when a tree felled by the fire landed on it.

Creek Road will be closed for several hours while crews investigate the scene.

We will have more on this developing story as it becomes available.
