Update: Ogden police ID body found in canal as woman missing since June

OGDEN, Utah, July 18, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Police have identified a body found in an Ogden canal as a woman missing since June.

According to an Ogden Police Department statement, the deceased has been identified as Hilary Halliday, 41.

Halliday was reported as a missing person to Ogden Police on June 26, the news release said.

Halliday’s body was found in a canal in the area of 1000 W. and 600 North, in Ogden’s Business Depot, Sunday.

The body was transported to the Medical Examiner’s office to determine the cause of death.

At the time the body was discovered, police said the death was suspicious. The investigation remains active, officials said Wednesday.
