SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Dec. 27, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Salt Lake City police have determined a cause of death for a man found deceased in the snow off North Temple on Wednesday morning.

The body was found near 1500 W. North Temple, just outside of the Utah Department of Natural Resources’ building, at approximately 10:55 a.m., Detective Michael Ruff, Salt Lake City Police Department, told Gephardt Daily.

“The cause of death was a medical issue,” SLCPD tweeted Thursday afternoon. The tweet added that the man has been identified and next of kin has been notified; however the man’s identity has not been made public.

“There is no other information to release at this time,” the tweet goes on. “Our condolences to his family.”

Ruff said it appears that the deceased person had been in that location for at least a few hours before he was found, and possibly since Tuesday night.

Gephardt Daily will update this developing story as information is made available.
