Utah State University issues alert after sexual assault reported on campus

LOGAN, Utah, Oct. 29, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — Utah State University Police have issued an alert to students after a sexual assault was reported on campus Friday night.

The Code Blue message, which was sent out via email, text message and voice alerts, indicated USU Police received a report indicating a female student was sexually assaulted by two males near the bottom of Old Main Hill.

The alert states the victim was not able to provide a description of the suspects, and that she did not know them.

No further information about the reported assault was provided; an investigation is ongoing.

Campus police are asking anyone who may have information on the case case to call them at 435-797-1939 or visit them in person at 1250 N. 800 East in Logan.
