Salt Lake County Mayor Ben McAdams and UTA are hoping to encourage people to use TRAX instead of cars by offering free passes this Saturday, January 31st.

This is all part of a pilot program between the transit companies and the county in an effort to help improve Salt Lake City’s air quality.

They will be handing out electronic cards loaded with $10 and can be used on buses or TRAX trains. UTA authorities will be handing them out at 3300 South and State on a first-come, first-serve basis. Once the cards are gone, they will not be re-issuing any new ones.

For more information you can contact UTA at (801) 287-2667.
