Update: State park officials locate suspects after vandalism

STERLING, Utah, April 4, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — The Utah Department of Natural Resources has located the person or persons responsible for vandalism at the Palisade State Park near Sterling.

A post on the state park’s Facebook page Wednesday morning said: “We had some vandalism over the weekend at the park on our hiking trail around the lake. We are looking for any information that people may know about this vandalism.”

Words that are included in the vandalism appear to be “Trevor,” “Mose” and possibly “Sialama.”

Wednesday afternoon, another Facebook post was added: “We have contacted the individuals involved and we are working on getting it cleaned up and also on charges and restitution. Thanks for all the concern on our previous post and the information shared about this incident.”

Sterling is just south of Manti, in central Utah.
