SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, March 8, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — A vehicle fire on northbound Interstate 15 in Salt Lake City is causing delays for drivers Wednesday morning.

The incident occurred at about 8:15 a.m. at 3300 South at milepost 303, and the center lanes were closed while the fire was extinguished, according to a tweet from the Utah Department of Transportation.

As of 9 a.m., the center lanes have been re-opened to traffic but there is still residual slowing in the area.

There is no word yet on what caused the fire, or whether anyone was injured.
