West Valley restaurant closed for more than 30 violations

WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah, June 8, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — The Salt Lake County Health Department has closed a West Valley City restaurant for 34 health code violations.

Los Molcajetes, at 4031 W. 4100 South, was shut down for violations including no hot water available in the facility, food not being kept at the proper hot or cold temperatures, and the person in charge being unable to show knowledge of the correct procedures for cleaning and sanitizing utensils and surfaces that come into contact with food.

Other stated violations were that the interior surfaces of a reach-in freezer were unclean (spilled chicken blood) and a reach-in cooler was leaking onto the floor and food was in standing water on the bottom shelf.
