Police Seek Suspects Who Used Credit Cards In Stolen Car For Fraudulent Purchases

WEST JORDAN, Utah, April 12, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — Police are asking for the public’s help finding two suspects who abandoned one stolen vehicle only to steal another, then used the owner’s credit cards to make fraudulent purchases.

West Jordan Police Sgt. Joe Monson said in a prepared statement that the male and female suspects, thought to be in their 20s, are believed to have abandoned a stolen vehicle in the area of 3400 W. 8395 South between 3:30 and 6 a.m. March 19. The suspects then stole another vehicle from the area.

“Inside the stolen vehicle was the wallet of the victim,” the statement said, referring to the second car. “The suspects went to several businesses and made fraudulent purchases, using the credit cards from the victim’s wallet.”
