Woman Shot During Gang Fight at Local Bar

SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH – September 6, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) – A woman was shot in the leg during an apparent gang fight at a local bar Sunday morning after multiple shots were fired into the crowd.

According to investigators, a fight broke out at the Moose Lounge at 180 West 400 South in Salt Lake City around 2 a.m. when several people started throwing beer bottles at each other.

At some point, the fight ended up outside in the parking lot and shots were fired into the crowd. A woman who was hit in the leg was transported to the hospital in fair condition.No one else was injured.

Witnesses told police that after the woman was shot, approximately four to five Hispanic males got into a car and fired shots back at the crowd as they left the bar.

Investigators are looking for more witnesses to help identify the suspects or the car they used to leave the scene and are asking for anyone who may have information about the incident to call Salt Lake City Police at 801-799-3000.
