Handful of customers still without power in West Valley City

WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah, Feb. 28, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Nearly 200 customers in West Valley City remain without power Wednesday afternoon after a car crashed into a utility box, officials said.

That number is down from 2,500 earlier Wednesday morning.

Rocky Mountain Power said on its website that 184 customers are still without power after the incident in the area of 6400 W. 4100 South at approximately 8:20 a.m.

The estimated time of restoration is 5 p.m., Rocky Mountain Power officials said.

West Valley City Police Department tweeted the crash involved one car and no one was injured.

Officers are directing traffic due to the power outage, and repairs are being made.
