1 person, 1 dog dead after West Valley City shooting

WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah, Jan. 18, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Officials said one person is dead following a shooting in West Valley City Thursday evening.

The incident occurred in the area of 4100 South and Bangerter Highway just before 10 p.m., the West Valley City Police Department said in a tweet.

One dog who was also in the vehicle is deceased, the tweet said.

There were other people in vehicle at the time of shooting, but they were not hurt.

There’s no word yet whether the suspect or suspects are in custody.
