BALTIMORE, June 18 (UPI) — A Baltimore woman whose yard was slammed as “relentlessly gay” in an anonymous note is raising funds to make her home even more colorful.

Julie Baker of Baltimore started a GoFundMe page explaining she received an anonymous note from a neighbor criticizing her yard décor, which features a line of rainbow solar lights in jars spelling out the words “Love” and “Ohana,” a Hawaiian term for family.

The note, which was shared on Facebook by friends of Baker, reads:

“Your yard is becoming Relentlessly Gay! Myself and Others in the neighborhood ask that you Tone it Down. This is a Christian area and there are Children. Keep it up and I will be forced to call the police on You! Your kind need to have Respect for GOD.”

The note was signed, “A Concerned Home Owner.”

“Needless to say…  I need more rainbows… Many, many more rainbows,” Baker wrote on her fundraising page.

“Put simply, I am a widow and the mother of four children, my youngest in high school and I WILL NOT Relent to Hatred. Instead, I will battle it with whimsy and beauty and laughter and love, wrapped around my home, yard and family!!!” she wrote. “Thanks for your relentlessly gay support!”

Baker, who has already nearly quadupled her $5,000 fundraising goal, said the potential “gay” enhancements to her home include a possible “rainbow roof” to be installed “because my invisible relentlessly gay rainbow dragon should live up there in style!”
