Breaking: 1 dead, 2 injured in Dallas office building shooting

DALLAS, Texas, April 24, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — Two people were shot in a Dallas office tower Monday morning, and one police officer was also injured by debris, according to reports.

WFAA-TV reported that sources said the gunman shot his boss and then fatally shot himself on the 10th floor of the building in the 8300 block of LBJ Freeway, near Forest Lane and Central Expressway. The condition of the man that was shot is not yet known.

NBC 5 reported that SWAT officers, federal agents and firefighters responded at approximately 10:45 a.m. to the building, and ordered an evacuation after an active shooter situation was reported.

The Dallas Police Department tweeted that one officer was injured by debris, but did not elaborate.

A follow up tweet from police said the building was made safe at 12:49 p.m. No other details were immediately available.
