SPARKS, Nev., Nov. 21, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — Layton City Police have confirmed that a Utah man suspected of an attempted murder last month was arrested late Tuesday morning in Sparks, Nev.

Eddie Angelo Samora is accused of shooting a man on Oct. 26 outside of an apartment complex near 1650 N. Avalon Drive, Layton.

The victim, a 32-year-old Hispanic man whose name has not been released, was hit multiple times with a .38, and was flown to University Hospital for immediate surgery.

Layton police identified Samora as their suspect, and said he might have left the scene in a dark SUV, and should be considered “armed and dangerous.” They also said Samora has gang ties.

Samora was captured at about 12:40 p.m. Tuesday by Sparks police and the U.S.Marshal after a police chase ended in a traffic accident. No one was seriously injured in that collision.
