LONDONDERRY, Ireland, Sept. 9 (UPI) — A beer company in Northern Ireland posted an advertisement in a local newspaper seeking a ‘beer taster.’

According to the BBC, the person selected for the job, listed in the Derry Journal, will be required to taste up to 40 craft beers once a month at the Walled City Brewery in Londonderry.

“Training will be provided but ideally we are looking for an understanding of the nature of craft beers, for someone who knows a lot about flavors,” master brewer James Huey said.

Huey told the Belfast Telegraph the brewery had received 137 applicants, including some willing to pay, but said only a certain number of people are capable of fulfilling the company’s needs.

“But only 10% of the population can be master tasters,” Huey said. “I am blind to some flavors, so we need someone who can complement my own work and decipher all the different flavors.”

The lucky person selected for the job will not be paid, but a taxi and food will be provided at the end of the work day.
