Nun and Irish police officer play ‘keepy uppy’

June 3 (UPI) — A nun and a police officer kicked a soccer ball back and forth on the streets of Ireland during a festival last week.

Garda Síochána shared video on Wednesday of Garda O’Connell, an officer with the Henry Street Community Policing Unit, enjoying a game of “keepy uppy” with a Dominican nun at the St. Saviours Dominican Church in Limerick.

The officer and the nun playfully passed the soccer ball to each other while bouncing the ball off their feet and chests to keep it off the ground.

“Well what can we say, this definitely isn’t something you see everyday,” the Irish police force wrote.

After successfully volleying the ball back and forth, the ball eventually bounced into the nearby street and the pair ended the game.

“We’re not sure who won this time, a rematch will have to be scheduled,” police said.
