Jan. 6 (UPI) — An Australian snake catcher shared a photo of the unexpected intruder a resident found in bed with them in the middle of the night — a large python.

Stuart McKenzie, of The Snake Catcher 24/7 – Sunshine Coast, posted a photo to Facebook showing a large python curled up next to a pillow in the middle of an Eumundi-area resident’s bed.

McKenzie said the resident discovered the snake in her bed when she woke up around 3 a.m.

He said the snake was previously known by the resident, as it had been living in her roof for some time.

“Snakes don’t want to hurt us, sometimes they just want to snuggle,” McKenzie wrote.
