EXCLUSIVE: Stephen Hawking Says We Have 200 Years Left on Earth

Stephen Hawking, the famous astrophysicist portrayed in the film “The Theory of Everything,” has done the math and he believes that things are not looking good for us here on earth.

According to mathematics and rapid population growth statistics down here on the planet we call home, we have to leave and find another place to live. This might sound like a joke, but remember April Fools’ Days was over a week ago.

We do have some time, around two hundred years actually, according to Hawking. Utahn John Sohl, a Professor of Physics, at Weber State University, had an amazing opportunity to travel Utah with Stephen Hawking for a week in the 1990’s.

“I was part of the entourage to bring him around the area and sort of the token physicist to give him someone to talk to,” said Professor Sohl. Though Sohl doubts that Hawking remembers him, it’s an experience that the Weber State professor will never forget.

Dr. Sohl spoke exclusively to Gephardt Daily about some of the problems that the human race could be facing if we have to move he said we have three options; we have to have a place to go such as living on a space ship or we can go to another planet. There is a catch, however, to going to another planet here in our solar system.

If we try to find another habitable planet we are only left with two choices, Mars and Venus. Another option would traveling to exo-solar planets outside of our solar system.

But the fact remains that our planet is in danger, and if we have to leave, and we may have to do it within 200 years. Can we do that?

Come back tomorrow and we’ll look at the possibilities.
